A superbly crafted Electric Blue Sparkle Saturn wood snare drum from Mapex.

Saturn Snare Drums are exacting enough for any and all studio applications and has been thoroughly road tested by nearly every professional artist on the Mapex roster. The drum artisans at Mapex match the finest, thinnest plies of North American Maple with a selection of dark, rich walnut. The result is a beautifully hand-crafted drum with a remarkably wide tonal range.

All Saturn components on the SW series snares are finished with eight hand-rubbed coats of high gloss lacquer. This unique finishing process gives the drum a beautifully deep, high-gloss, protective shine.

Mapex's low mass lugs are secured to the shell via only one point of penetration. Fewer holes in the drum shell means less vibratory interruption, resulting in truer tone and unimpeded resonance.
