Contact us and get your Heritage Cajon customer built for you! PICK-UPS - Active pick-ups are available, as an added option on your Heritage Cajon. These pick-ups are special effects compatible and are best used with keyboard amps because they can reach all octaves on the scale. While these pick-ups do work with most other amps, some amps are not compatible with active devices. CUSTOM TEXT OPTIONS - New is customized text on your Cajon. You can add your band or other name(s) to the face-plate of your Cajon Instrument. This option is available on any plain face-plate Cajon, or with a Musical design at the bottom of the face-plate. SIGNED INSTRUMENTS - As some Musicians like to have their Instruments signed, Heritage Cajon haa introduced a new "free" option to have the bottom of the face-plate signed by owner/creator, Ken. On request, plain face-plates are signed at the bottom. Artwork face-plates are signed where the design permits. Heritage Cajons Like most, the Heritage Cajons are played sitting on top of it, while striking the playing surface with your hands. The most notable differences between their full-size Cajon and most out on the market are as follows: SOUND - Designed to maximize quality performance, sound-flow is largely directed through the sound-hole with the front-face being the primary resonating element of the instrument. By limiting the ability of the instrument to resonate sounds through all sides of the instrument, more distinct and cleaner tones are achieved. In addition, rather than emitting only one, two or three sounds, our design emits four distinctive sounds: Rim Shot, Snare Drum, Tom-Tom, and Bass Drum - all within a comfortable reach area of the playing surface. You can also play our Instruments in bongo mode with the snares turned off. DURABILITY - Heritage Cajons are designed for durability and enjoyment for a long time. They are full-size instruments, approximately 19 1/2 inches tall, by 12 1/2 inches wide, and 12 1/2 inches deep. They choose not to use thinner woods for the casing of the instrument to ensure the longevity of the instrument. Nails and screws are used - because they can - the wood Heritage Cajon uses is thick enough that they don't have to rely only on glue, thus adding durability to the instrument. This added durability reduces concerns about weight on the sitting surface and about damage in transport. SNARE SYSTEM - Snare wires are used in all Heritage Cajon instruments complete with a handle-type adjustment feature that is more precise in making snare adjustments - no fiddling around with mechanisms that are hard to adjust. All full-size Instruments come with three sets of installed Snares (60 snares). Travel Cajons come with two sets of snares (40 snares). STYLE - Our Cajon instruments are already available in many different styles, including our Designer series - you can now own a Cajon instrument which is also a piece of Art adding to the collectible value of your instrument. We have commissioned professional Artists to create a variety of artistic face-plates for your instruments -- all Artwork is Original! IN SUMMARY, a Heritage Cajon is sold as a complete, professional Instrument - all come with snares and an adjustment mechanism, feet, and a finished and protective coating.
