Thanks in part to the torrefaction process, in which the guitar's spruce top is roasted with UV light to accelerate the aging process, the 614ce offers a played-in sound right out of the box, rich with warmth, complexity and sustain matched with gorgeous aesthetics that include a hand-rubbed Brown Sugar stain. Maple's transparent tone gives the player plenty of musical flexibility, reflecting the specific style and approach that sets each guitarist apart.
